Geography practice with a clear purpose.
OpenSled is built around a simple idea: knowing a place means connecting its name, its context and its position on the map.
What we make
The country challenge trains country–capital pairs through short browser-based rounds. Earthgame turns that verbal knowledge into spatial practice on an interactive 3D globe. The learning guides explain how to combine both without turning study into an endless quiz.
Editorial principles
Every public feature should perform a useful task, explain how to use it and work without forcing an account. Learning advice is written for this project and reviewed when the tools change. We avoid publishing mass-produced country pages that merely repeat a database.
Limits
Boundaries, names and regional groupings can be politically sensitive and can change. OpenSled is a practice tool, not an authoritative source for legal borders or diplomatic recognition. For high-stakes use, consult an official current source.
